The pinquillo is a musical instrument which is similar to the flute, made from bamboo. It has a mouthpiece and holes which alow a variety of sounds to be created. The sound is high pitched. Young natives always carry it attached to their waist.
The pinquillo has six frontal holes but does not have a back hole.
